Fantastico was the first big script auto-installer for cPanel and it can make getting up and running very easy. Fantastico’s popularity grew rapidly during the past few year, although it now has some upstart competition from Softaculous and Installatron. It will be interesting to see if Fantastico can hold them off or if it will be forced to cede market share.

I’ve tried to find the best Fantastico hosts out there. Now, if you’ve looked around this site at all, this list may look familiar. In fact, my top Fantastico recommendations are the same as my top general Linux host recommendations. Not the result of laziness, I assure you, but more a reflection of how standard Fantastico has become over the last few years. It is difficult to justify calling a web host “top tier” without Fantastico or a competing script library.
